About 1.4 million passengers flew with Austrian Airlines in October 2019, comprising an increase of 4.4 percent from the prior-year month.
The flight offering measured in available seat kilometers was up 0.5 percent. Revenue passenger kilometers climbed 1.5 percent.
Capacity utilization of the flights equaled 82.8 percent on average in October 2019, an increase of 0.9 percentage points compared to the previous year.
The number of flights operated by Austrian Airlines was increased by 0.7 percent to 12,565.
“Last year we repositioned our long-haul network and focused on connections to North America. Today we know that this strategy was the right one because the flights are performing very well”, says Austrian Airlines CCO Andreas Otto.
Austrian Airlines transported about 12.6 million passengers in the months from January to October 2019, comprising a rise of 5.4 percent from the previous year.
The flight offering measured in available seat kilometers was up 2.8 percent. Revenue passenger kilometers climbed 4.7 percent compared to the first ten months of 2018.
Capacity utilization of the flights amounted to 81.3 percent, an increase of 1.5 percentage points.
The number of flights operated by Austrian Airlines was up 3.5 percent to 118,730 compared to the prior-year period.
