A new supervisory board for Rail Baltica project promotor RB Rail AS was approved by the national shareholders from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania on October 15.
The RB Rail AS joint venture is registered in Latvia, where commercial law requires a new supervisory board to be appointed whenever a new member is appointed.
The Estonian shareholder had decided to replace RB Estonia CEO Riia Sillave with Ahti Kuningas, who is Deputy Secretary General for Transport at the Ministry of Economic Affairs & Communication.
The supervisory board now comprises:
Estonia: Ahti Kuningas, Deputy Secretary General for Transport at the Ministry of Economic Affairs & Communication, and Anti Moppel, Advisor to the Deputy Secretary General for Transport.
Latvia: Ligita Austrupe, Deputy State Secretary at the Ministry of Transport, and Anri Leimanis, Vice-Chair of the Supervisory Board of Latvijas Mobilais Telefons.
Lithuania: Karolis Sankovski (Chair of the supervisory board), CEO of Rail Baltica Statyba, and Romas Švedas, Chair of AB Lietuvos Geležinkeliai.
